'Learn to Live, Live to Learn'

Summer Term Welcome back to Year 6 to your final term at Huntington CPS! We hope you have enjoyed a wonderful Easter with your family and friends. Our year so far has certainly busy, with lots of exciting activities filling our timetable. As you enter our final term together, it is important to reflect on all of the wonderful experiences you have had during your time at our school. Even though it is nearly time to leave us, we have plenty more opportunities planned for you to make lasting memories. Our residential trip to the Conway Centre (Menai, Anglesey) is approaching (June 17th-21st 2024), please find the initial letter with trip details at the bottom of this webpage along with a kit list which was sent home before the Easter break. Medical forms were also sent home before Easter - please ensure these are returned to the school office by May 9th. This is an important time of year for our Y6 pupils and we will continue to support you all and ensure that you are all happy and ready to take on the new challenges. For further information relating to our curriculum for the Summer term, please refer to the subject pages on our webpage. The content of our Year Six curriculum raises expectations and inspires our pupils to achieve the very best they can. Central to academic achievements is our ethos of "Learn to Live, Live to Learn", we aim for each child to mature emotionally and socially and feel confident but, above all, enjoy their time during their last year Huntington Community Primary School. Belongings
Please ensure that all belongings are named, including water bottles and coats. Pupils should not bring a pencil case as suitable statioinery is provided in class.
Jewellery should be limited to one pair of stud earrings.
High School
Throughout the year, we will work towards providing Year 6 pupils with not only the knowledge, but also the skills and confidence to help them to continue to flourish during their secondary education.
The statutory cut off day for secondary school applications is in October. Please view the information on the Cheshire West and Chester Council website before making your application. An information booklet can be found at the bottom of the page.

Homework Homework is set on our Google Classroom platform. Activities will be set on a Friday with a due date of the following Wednesday. Please use the password details sent out to access individual accounts. Please remember to access TTRS, EdShed and Nessy (if applicable) at home too. Letters and consent forms will also be distributed using this platform. If you have any problems using Google Classroom or any other platforms, please let us know using the class email addresses.
